The National Defence Academy (NDA) has established specific eligibility criteria for candidates aspiring to join its ranks. Below is a comprehensive overview of these requirements:
Candidates must be citizens of India.
An age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years.
Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training at the NDA.
For Army Wing of NDA : Candidates must have passed the 12th Class or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy : Candidates must have passed the 12th Class or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Note : Candidates appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or Equivalent Examination are also eligible to apply.
Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to the NDA and Naval Academy Examination.
